FACTS ABOUT STRAY AND ABANDONED ANIMALS!
Annually for every 13,000 animals brough to a shelter, 2,600 will be adopted while 10,000 will be euthanized!
Nationwide more than 3 million cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters!
Best Friends Sanctuary, Inc. (Fentress Area Humane Society) at http://www.bestfriendssanctuarytn.com/ has foster families, who provide food, care, transportation, training, and socialization in their own homes at their expense for stray and abandoned animals.
Other strays are not so lucky. Some are killed and eaten by coyotes, others starve or die of thirst, while others are hit and killed by vehicles on the road. Others join up and form packs of feral dogs that attack livestock and people!
ADOPTED ANIMALS MAKE THE MOST LOVING AND LOYAL PETS! Even though these animals have been abandoned and often abused by the very people they trusted, still they long for another chance... another human... another family to love.
