WELCOME TO MY DOGGY WORLD!

I'm so excited that you have come to check me out. I'm not just an ordinary dog by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I'm rather special- even if I do say so myself. Not that life has been full of tummy rubs, doggy treats, or juicy bones. You might be surprised though at how much we have in common if you stick around.

Dear Clayton

Dear Clayton,
Hello!
I was so glad to hear that you are home.

I hope that you are feeling better.

It was good to see you in person, although I was sad that you had to be in the hospital. I hear that you still have to use oxygen. Does it give you energy? If so I may need to borrow some. Things have been quite crazy on this end.
My Master is in Florida right now as his mother is dying.
He left my Mistress home with me as she can’t travel.

Well if my Mistress didn’t up and get this wild idea of trying to clean the house for the coming holidays. (I can’t wait to play with Annette and William. They are little people like me.) Anyway my Mistress has things all out of place. I don’t know if she will get it straightened out before the Master gets back home or not. You wouldn’t believe the mess she has made.

I finally gave up trying to figure out what she was trying to do as it made me dizzy following her around in circles so I went and took a long nap on her bed.
I also have to keep a close watch when she feeds the animals each day.
It cuts down on my play time outdoors making sure the goats, chickens, and rabbits behave themselves. To be perfectly honest I get jealous over any attention my Mistress gives them so I keep a sharp doggy eye on things to make sure that they don’t steal her affection away from me.
Then the other evening my Mistress fell again.

It was quite a scary experience, but thankfully she didn’t break any bones. I’m sure if she would just get down on her hands and knees to walk she would have better balance. So far I am unable to convince her to walk like that. Anyway it jarred her bones good and triggered off pain in her spine again. I was hoping so much that she was getting better.
The last couple of days have been slower.

I curl up close to her each night so she doesn’t get lonely while the Master is gone. And when she wakes up in pain I let her run her fingers through my fur and cover her hand in doggy kisses until she relaxes enough to go back to sleep.
So you can see why I’m dog tired. I’ve been going day and night lately to keep watch over everything until the Master gets back home.

It is quite a responsibility, especially since my Mistress won’t listen to me, but I’m proud that the Master trusts me to keep my Mistress safe.
Every time I catch my breath I say doggy prayers for you.

So take care on your end and I’ll try to keep this end covered.
Lots of doggy kisses and prayers,
Lucy Lou
