WELCOME TO MY DOGGY WORLD!

I'm so excited that you have come to check me out. I'm not just an ordinary dog by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I'm rather special- even if I do say so myself. Not that life has been full of tummy rubs, doggy treats, or juicy bones. You might be surprised though at how much we have in common if you stick around.

Hospital Visit

I went with my Mistress and Master to visit my friend, Clayton, in the Crossville hospital. My Mistress had to get special permission. For some reason hospitals don’t like to have dogs come and visit. Can you imagine? I’m sure if the CEO’s could see how loving we are and how happy we’d make the patients they would welcome us with open arms.
The ladies at the front desk shook their heads and pointed their fingers at me when my Mistress carried me inside the hospital, even thought I was on my best doggy behavior. But as soon as they heard that I had permission to be there their frowns turned into smiles. My Mistress had given me a bath, brushed out my fur, and put fancy bows in my hair for the occasion. Talk about putting on the dog, was I was ever dressed up?

The Master gave my Mistress and me a ride in a wheelchair. We also rode the elevator up to the fourth floor. I snuggled close to my Mistress hoping the Master wouldn’t get us lost. Even though I kept a sharp eye on where we were going, I soon became confused with all the twists and turns.
But it was worth it to see Clayton and his Mistress’ face light up when they saw me. There was lots of excitement. The only thing my Mistress wouldn’t let me jump or run around. Instead I had to sit and be quiet, which is very hard when you are full of the wiggles. I managed to shake out my hair bows to relieve some stress.
I wanted to cover Clayton and Maryanna with doggy kisses, but my Mistress restrained me. For some strange reason humans don’t like to smell like dogs. Maryanna gave me a big hug and Clayton petted my fur as I sat beside him to get my picture taken.

On the way home the Master stopped at the Dairy Queen. I helped my Mistress eat her blizzard and managed to get it all over my fur. The Master tried to share his French fries with me, but I preferred my Mistress’ ice cream. It seemed to take forever until we reached our house. My Mistress gave me another bath and then I took a long doggy nap. Was I ever dog tired! I’ve come to the conclusion that visiting hospitals is lots of work, but I’d do it all over again to see my friend, Clayton.
