WELCOME TO MY DOGGY WORLD!

I'm so excited that you have come to check me out. I'm not just an ordinary dog by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I'm rather special- even if I do say so myself. Not that life has been full of tummy rubs, doggy treats, or juicy bones. You might be surprised though at how much we have in common if you stick around.

Dear Clayton

Dear Clayton,

Hello!

It sure was good to get another letter from you. In fact I was so excited I licked the envelope. In doggy terms it means that I gave it a kiss.

Since I last talked with you my Mistress's computer crashed (went dead) so it is taking me a bit to figure out her new computer. This keyboard has lots more black buttons on it. I have to be careful to keep my paws in the center or else everything might disappear on me or strange windows pop up unexpectedly.

It was an awful scary time around here when my Mistress couldn't get her computer to work. She cried when it looked like she had lost four of her books. She kept meaning to put them on something called a flash drive, but she has been dragging around for so long that she never got around to it. I was ready to attack the computer myself and pull those books out with my teeth if I had known where they were. Thankfully a local computer whiz was able to retrieve her books using another computer. What a relief!

I've been staying close to my Mistress as she has been having a rough couple of weeks with pain and fatigue. She has been in bed as much as she was up.

I could sense that she was sad one day even though she tried to hide the fact that she had been crying. When the girls came for piano lessons, instead of playing with them like I usually do, I sat beside her at the piano bench and stayed real close to my Mistress. I'd kiss her fingers every time her hand came near me.

Then we had a happy day. My Mistress was able to hang some wash outside. She even puttered around in her flower beds. I was so excited to see her outside that I raced around like a crazy dog trying to express my joy. I chased a couple of squirrels and a bird or two. I barked to let everyone in the neighborhood know that this was my territory and I was back on guard duty.

Every little bit I would check on my Mistress to make sure that she was okay. I sniffed everything in sight and even tried to help my Mistress dig in her flower beds, but she scolded me. My Mistress is real particular about her flowers. I had so much fun. You wouldn't believe how dirty I got. When we came back inside my Mistress gave me a bath. She scrubbed out all the dirt and combed my fur. Then I curled up and had a good nap while my Mistress rested in her recliner.

It sounds like you are quite a popular fellow with all those scans checking out your insides. Did you like the PET scan? Was there any dogs getting a PET scan? Do you still have blood clots in you leg? If you'd like I could come and growl real fierce to scare them away. I hate to hear that those blood clots hurt you. They don't sound very nice at all.

Well I'd better close this letter as my Mistress is waking up and will want to get on the computer. I'll have to tell you about all the food I eat next time.

Meanwhile take care of yourself and give your Mistress a doggy hug from me.

Sending you lots of doggy hugs and prayers,

Lucy Lou
