WELCOME TO MY DOGGY WORLD!

I'm so excited that you have come to check me out. I'm not just an ordinary dog by any stretch of the imagination. In fact I'm rather special- even if I do say so myself. Not that life has been full of tummy rubs, doggy treats, or juicy bones. You might be surprised though at how much we have in common if you stick around.

Dear Clayton

Dear Clayton,

Hello! I sure was glad to hear from you again.

I was busy sniffing all the smells around the mailbox when my Mistress told me that I had some mail. I sniffed your letter carefully to make sure that it was from you.

The word CAT scan is enough to give a dog nightmares. I'd lose my appetite too if something like that was done to me. No wonder you were ready to walk through the Pearly Gates. I sure hope that they don't give you any more of that new medicine.

Maybe if you start eating fried squash and stewed tomatoes like I have they'd leave you alone. I even ate some watermelon the other day. I've not had a chance yet to sneak you some dog food. Right now we have the yellow bag (chicken flavor) or would you prefer the red bag (beef flavor)?

My Mistress isn't too smart on the computer either. She has to work long hours to get anything done. I'm glad that we are dog smart.

She also stumbles around and falls easily so I have to keep a sharp lookout to stay out of her way so she doesn't trip over me. She'd have better balance if she had four legs like me. The Master put up a railing for her to hold onto when she goes down the steps into the study/family room to do laundry.

The other day I spent the day in bed with her again. It is rather boring, but part of my job to watch over her. I kissed her fingers to try and wake her up and got some tummy rubs in return.

I was happy when the Master came home as he is lots of fun to play with. He lets me chew on his fingers. It helps get some of the wiggles out of my system and gives me exercise after lying around all day. He is a lot noisier than my Mistress. At first I was afraid of him, but now I look forward to when he comes home. Sometimes he gets down on the floor and wrestles with me while my Mistress sits in the recliner and laughs at us.

Take care!

Your faithful friend,

Lucy Lou
